Mickey Cow!

Monday, April 13th, 2009

Looks like Disney was the inspiration for animal coloring these days!

I found this cow in a field and low and behold the usual spotted markings of a dairy cow were there but looking more closely…do they resemble the head shape of a particular mouse we all know and love??!! Could it be that Mickey Mouse christened this cow with his special emblem? He would be so lucky. So, I whipped out my iPhone and snapped a picture of the lucky cow so all could see his special black markings that remind me of the Mouse. What’s next…a donald the duck dog?

Celebrate Everything

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

As you can see, Imp is on vacation this week riding rides at an amusement park. Though for artistic propriety I cannot convey Disney images in the comic…Imp is indeed in Disneyland as I was this past weekend. The Mr. and I took a little trip to the happiest place on earth and had a wonderful time…celebrating…well everything according to Disneyland’s theme. Birthdays, anniversaries, first visits to the park…are all celebrated in Disneyland this year.

I must say that Disneyland loses none of the magic and sparkle of fun and excitement after visiting it year after year as a child or as an adult. There is something for everyone of every age when going to see the Mouse. New and fantastical additions are being added to the park every year and there are some BIG plans for CA Adventure in the next few years. I am not going to give anything away in the blog. You will have to just go to the park and see it for yourself.

SO, if you haven’t had a chance to visit the park recently…I highly recommend a trip. Imp is already having the time of his life so…stay tuned this week (and maybe next week if I feel a surge of inspiration) for more impish fun in the happiest place on earth.

The Cartoon Art Museum (located at 655 Mission Street in San Francisco) proudly presents Once Upon a Dream: The Art of Sleeping Beauty, celebrating 50 years since the original release of the classic animated feature from Walt Disney Studios.

In addition, the Cartoon Art Museum will host a reception celebrating the beloved Disney film on August 15, 2009, from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Special guest Ron Dias will be present to discuss his career as an animation artist and illustrator, with a special focus on his role in the creation of the Walt Disney classic Sleeping Beauty.

Disney Family Museum

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

The Disney Family Museum opens on October 1, 2009 in the foggy city of San Francisco, CA. I read a little about this museum and how it is state of the art. I look forward to seeing an entire museum dedicated to Walt Disney; his life and extrodinary influencial career in animation and art. After all, he is the father of animation for all intents and purposes :)
